Cheque Book Request of SBI Account
(How to apply for a Cheque Book without visit to Bank Branch?)
Cheque is one of the effective instruments issued by Bank to account holders to perform transactions in large amount.
The Cheque can be used for various transactions related viz., Cash Withdrawal, Fund Transfer to other account
(Intra Bank Fund Transfer and Inter Bank Fund Transfer) etc. SBI Cheque Book contains minimum of 10
pages and maximum of 100 pages. Account holder can apply for a cheque book for their accounts in two ways:-
- Offline Mode
- Online Mode
Offline Mode
The Account Holder can apply for a Cheque Book in Offline Mode by submitting a written request
(if applied for the first time) to home branch where Account is maintained. For further requirement
of Cheque Book, the account holder can apply through it by filling up of requisition slip which is
provided in the previous Cheque Book. After filling up of the requisition slip, it must be submitted
to home branch for further processing. On completion of all the formalities, the Cheque Book
will be dispatch and the same will arrive at the address of the Account Holder and then, delivered through Indian Postal Services.

बैंक द्वारा खाताधारकों को जारी किए गए Cheque के द्वारा अधिक राशि में लेनदेन करने की सुविधा प्रदान करता हैं। Cheque का उपयोग विभिन्न लेन-देन से संबंधित, नकद निकासी, फंड ट्रांसफर आदि के लिए किया जा सकता है। एसबीआई Cheque Book में न्यूनतम 10 पृष्ठ और अधिकतम 100 पृष्ठ होते हैं। एसबीआई खाताधारक दो तरीकों से अपने खातों के लिए Cheque Book के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं: –

- Online Mode
Offline Mode
खाताधारक एक लिखित आवदेन (यदि पहली बार आवेदन किया जा रहा हो) देकर अपनी शाखा पर Cheque Book के लिए आवेदन कर सकता है। Cheque Book की आगे की आवश्यकता के लिए, Requisition Slip के द्वारा आवेदन कर सकता है, जो पिछली प्राप्त Cheque Book पर उपलब्ध रहता है। Requisition Slip भरने के बाद, इसे आगे की प्रक्रिया के लिए बैंक की शाखा अधिकारी को प्रस्तुत करना होगा। सभी औपचारिकताओं के पूरा होने पर, Cheque Book भारतीय डाक सेवाओं के माध्यम से खाताधारक के पास पहुंच जाता हैं।
Online Mode
If the Account Holder avail Internet Banking Facility of his or her account, then the requirement of Cheque Book request can be submitted online. Here is the step by step procedure for online application of Cheque Book request.
यदि खाताधारक अपने खाते से इंटरनेट बैंकिंग की सुविधा ले रखा हैं, तो Cheque Book आवेदन ऑनलाइन जमा किया जा सकता है। Cheque Book की ऑनलाइन आवेदन को चरणबद्ध प्रक्रिया के द्वारा किया जा सकता हैं।
Step-I
Logon to website https://onlinesbi.com and login to Internet Banking with USERNAME and LOGIN PASSWORD. Move the Pointer of the Mouse and put it on the tab Request & Enquiries. Thereafter, click on Cheque Book request from the dropdown menu (appeared automatically) to proceed to next step.
वेबसाइट ONLINESBI पर लॉगऑन करें और USERNAME और LOGIN PASSWORD के साथ इंटरनेट बैंकिंग में प्रवेश करें। माउस के पॉइंटर को Request & Enquiries की और ले जाए। इसके बाद, अगले चरण पर जाने के लिए dropdown menu से Cheque Book request पर क्लिक करें (स्वचालित रूप से प्रकट होगा)।
Step-II
In this step, select the name of Account Holder, Select the Number of Cheque Leaves from drop down menu, and Number of Cheque Book as 1 will appeared automatically. Then, Select Bearer Cheque (Order Cheque not allowed through Online) as Instrument Sub Category. Click on Submit Button to proceed further.
इस चरण में, खाता धारक का नाम चुनें, dropdown menu से Number of Cheque का चयन करें, और Number of Cheque Book की संख्या 1 स्वचालित रूप से दिखाई देगी। फिर, Instrument Sub Category के तहत में Bearer चेक (Order Cheque ऑनलाइन उपलब्ध नहीं हैं) का चयन करें। आगे बढ़ने के लिए Submit बटन पर क्लिक करें।
Step-III
In this step, select delivery address as per choice of convenience, select the consent of address to be shared and click on submit button to proceeds further.
इस चरण में, सुविधा के अनुसार वितरण पते का चयन करें, साझा किए जाने वाले पते की सहमति का चयन करें और आगे बढ़ने के लिए Submit बटन पर क्लिक करें।
Step-IV
In this step, the OTP (One Time Password) received in Registered Mobile Number needs to be entered. Click on Confirm Button to proceed to next step.
इस चरण में, पंजीकृत मोबाइल नंबर पर प्राप्त OTP (One Time Password) दर्ज करने की आवश्यकता है। अगले पड़ाव पर जाने के लिए Confirm बटन पर क्लिक करें।
Step-V
Online Submission of Cheque Book request completed successfully.
Cheque Book request का ऑनलाइन आवेदन प्रक्रिया सफलतापूर्वक पूरा हुआ।
The Indian Postal Department will deliver the Cheque Book will be delivere to Address share by Account Holder during online submission of request after some days.
कुछ दिनों के पश्चात भारतीय डाक विभाग द्वारा चेक बुक को खाताधारक के पते पर पहुचा दिया जायेगा।
