PM AWAS Yojana 2019 -2020 (PMAY scheme)

From childhood, we have been hearing from our parents to buy or get their own house. Now, our

Prime minister Narendra Modi has seen the vision to provide housing facilities to all who don’t afford by the year 2022 by launching the PMAY scheme. This government will provide subsidies to a particular amount.

Conditions Required-

1) Eligibility: 21 to 55 years old can apply.

2) Income: applicants are categorized into 4 groups-

a)EWS(Economical Weaker Section): Those who’s income is under 3 lakh.

b)LIG(Lower Income Group): Those whose income is between 3 to 6 lakhs.

c)MIG 1 (Middle Income Group1): Those whose income is between 6 to 12 lakh.

d)MIG 2(Middle Income Group 2): Those whose income is between 12 to 18 lakh.

Note: If you do Job then you have to attach a salary slip Or if you run your own business then you have to attach an Income certificate.

3) You should not have a dwelling house: You should not have a solid contact house otherwise you’ll not be able to take advantage of this scheme.

4)Applicant should have Aadhar Card.

5) Women participation is compulsory: Applicants under EWS or LIG want to buy a new house or property then women participation is compulsory. But if they want to construct or renovate their existing house then women’s participation is not necessary.

How to Apply: There are 2 options to apply for PMAY scheme-

1) If your income is less than 50,000 per month then you can apply online by visiting PMAY website.http://pmaymis.gov.in/Search_Name.aspx.

And if your income is more than 50,000 then you can visit SBI or any of the nearby banks and can apply directly.

2) The second option is that you can visit any nearby Common Service Center (CSC center) and can apply. You just have to pay a small amount of Rs.25.

People under EWS or LIG category will get subsidy upto 6½ percent but amount should not exceed Rs.6,00,000. Or your house shouldn’t exceed the area of 645 square Feet.
