Digipay is an Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) App which can be used in PC/Desktop Computer as well as in Smart Phone. With the rapid increase in Popularity and Demand of AEPS Transaction, CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, in collaboration with National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI), has launched this application. This system works on Biometric/Iris Authentication of an individual which reduces the risk of fraudulent activities. It is an alternate of POS (Point of Sale) Machine and so, also known as Aadhaar ATM.

For Cash Withdrawal Transaction through AEPS, any Individual/Customers having their Aadhaar Seeded Bank Account of any bank can visit Common Service Centre (CSC) run by VLE (Village Level Entrepreneurs) in various location of India. For this he/she needs to produce his/her Aadhaar Card at CSC and finally go through Biometric Authentication or Iris Scanner Authentication. Once successfully authenticated by DIGIPAY APPS, the Cash Withdrawal Transaction will be completed and accordingly, Cash Amount will be paid to the Individual/Customers.

In addition to Cash Withdrawal Transaction through Digipay, one can perform Balance Enquiry of his/her Aadhaar Seeded Account too. Further, Digipay also provides Money Transfer Service to the general public. Without standing in a long queue at Bank Branch, any individual can deposit money in their bank account and also send money to their relatives/friends, etc. In accordance with NPCI Norms, a nominal service charge is levied for Cash Deposit/Money Transfer through Digipay.

It is a boon for old age pensioners too, that without branch visit and without standing in a long queue, they can approach CSC for Cash Withdrawal of their credited pension amount of the account. The CSC VLE can also approach to old aged pensioner for Cash Delivery through Digipay installed in their Smart Phone.

Fast Facts: AEPS Transaction can be performed only on Aadhaar Seeded Bank Account. Any Individual/Customers, whose account is not seeded/mapped to his/her active bank account, can visit their respective home branch for Aadhaar Seeding. The Branch Authority, after due verification of the KYC Documents of the account holder will process for Aadhaar Seeding. Once Aadhaar Number seeded/mapped successfully to the account, customers will be able to perform AEPS Transaction at CSC as well as CSP (Customer Service Point) allotted by Bank.
