Republic Day in Hindi – English

The Britishers ruled our country India for more than 200 years and finally the country became independent on 15 August 1947 after the rigorous efforts and sacrifices of millions of Indians. After this, on the historic day of 24 January 1950, the Constitution was adopted in our country. It is not only a significant day for every Indians, but it will enable us to explain the coming generation, the significance of Republic Day in our life. In January 1950, India become a republic country.

It means that Government formed in India is actually a Democratic form of Government. That is the Government formed is actually a Government of the people, by the people and for the people. India is today known as the longest democratic country in the world. India is now a Democratic Country and is free from dictatorship rule. The selection of any political leader is determined by active participation of public in elections.

India Republic Day Meaning

On January 25, 1950, India adopts a rigid and flexible constitution. This constitution was prepared by Dr. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. He has given the status of Father of the Indian Constitution. Republic Day is celebrated every year on 26 January. After India’s independence, the Constituent Assembly was announced and started to work from 9 December 1949. This Constituent Assembly made the Indian Constitution in two years, nine months and eighteen days. After this, the Constitution of India was handed over to the President of the Constituent Assembly, Dr. Rajendra Prasad on 24 November 1979. For this reason, every year, 26 November is celebrated as Constitution Day. After several reforms and changes, the members of the Constituent Assembly signed two handwritten copies of the constitution on 26 January 1950, and two days after that, i.e., on 26 January 1950, the Constitution came into force throughout the country.

India Republic Day Speech

Every year on the Republic Day, the heads of other countries are invited as the Chief Guest. The following details of the chief guests invited from the year 1950 to 2020 are mentioned above.

Guard of Honour is given to the President of India during the Republic Day celebrations at New Delhi, the capital of India.

After independence, our country India becomes the largest democratic country in the world. The people of the country and the future generation always remembered the sacrifice of the freedom

fighters, due to which we are enjoying our fundamental rights provided by the Constitution. But this struggle for independence is not yet over. Even after so many years of independence, the country is not free from problems like poverty, corruption, crime, violence etc. The need of the hour is that in order to recognize our country as a developed nation, we all have to come together and throw out all such evils.
