Internet और Advance Technology के इस दौर में हर व्यक्ति अपने किसी भी तरह के अकाउंट को digitally save कर रहा हैं। Internet users को अपने गुप्त जानकारी को save करने के लिए Online Platform का सहारा लेना पर रहा है। इसके लिए server पर User Name और Password बनाना पड़ता है जिसमे सभी तरह के गुप्त जानकारियों को सुरक्षित रखा जाता हैं। server को एक प्रकार की Almirah माना जा सकता हैं, User Name को उस पर इस्तेमाल होने वाला ताला और Password को एक तरह की चाबी समझ सकते हैं। जिस तरह चाबी के खो जाने पर चोरी की संभावनाए बढ़ जाती हैं ठीक उसी तरह अगर Internet User की Username और Password किसी तीसरे गलत व्यक्ति के हाथ लग जाता है तो सारी गुप्त जानकारी उजागर हो जाएगी जो की सुरक्षा के लिहाज से खतरनाक भी हैं। इसके आलावा, अगर गुप्त जानकरी किसी बैंक अकाउंट से जुड़ी हुई है तो भारी आर्थिक नुकसान भी हो सकता हैं और व्यक्ति की अपने जीवन में मेहनत से कमाई गई सारी इकठ्ठा पूंजी एक झटके में स्वाहा हो जाएगी।
आज के दौर में जब व्यक्ति स्मार्ट फ़ोन ओर अपने कंप्यूटर पर इन्टरनेट का इस्तेमाल करने लगे है तो उनका किसी न किसे ब्राउज़र से जुड़ी email ID का इस्तेमाल होना स्वाभाविक हैं। ऐसे में User Name और Password को सिर्फ माध्यम बनाकर अपने email ID रोजाना login करते हुए अपने कार्य को निरंतर पूरा करना सुरक्षा के लिहाज से बिलकुल भी सही नही है। बढ़ते साइबर क्राइम और हैकर की कारगुजारी के मद्देनजर अब हमे digital अकाउंट की सुरक्षा घेरे को और मजबूत करना पड़ेगा।
हमारा प्रयास यह बताने की कोशिश होगी की अपने Gmail Account की सुरक्षा घेरा को किस तरह मजबूत किया जाये?
अगर किसी कारणवश Gmail ID का username और password किसी तीसरे व्यक्ति की हाथ लोग जाता तो ऐसी स्थिति में सुरक्षा घेरा को मजबूत करके अपने अकाउंट को हैक होने से बचा सकते हैं। जिस प्रकार से यह सुरक्षा घेरा तैयार होता है उसको 2-step verification कहते है जिसके सक्रीय हो जाने पर अगर कोई तीसरा व्यक्ति आपके Gmail ID के username और password से login करना भी चाहेगा तो पहले से Gmail ID पर लिंक किया हुआ मोबाइल Number पर Verification Code आएगा जिसको enter किये बगैर login करना लगभग लगभग असंभव है क्यूंकि registered mobile number तो असली gmail धारक के पास ही होगा और वह तीसरा व्यक्ति Verification Code बिना जाने login नही कर पायेगा।
आइए जानते है इस 2-step verification को अपने Gmail Account पर कैसे सक्रिय करे?

Step1:
अपने Gmail Account को Username और Password से login करे। Login to Gmail Account normally using Username and Password
Step 2
Interface की सबसे उपर दाहिनी तरफ में दर्शाए गये Google Account Icon पर Click करे. फिर एक छोटा Pop-UP प्रकट होगा जहाँ Manage Your Google Account पर Click करें
Click on Google Account Icon on the Top-Right Side of the Interface. A small Pop-UP window will appear and Click on Manage Your Google Account on it.
Step 3
इसके बाद Next Interface पर Security पर click करने का option आएगा जो screen के बाएं तरफ मौजूद हैं।
On the next interface, the system will ask to click on Security reflected on the left side of the screen.
Step 4
इस Interface पर 2-Step Verfication Off पर click करने का option आएगा। ऐसा करने पर अगले screen पर Get started पर click करने का option आएगा।
In this Interface, there will be the option to click on 2-Step Verfication Off. In doing so, the next screen will ask to click on Get Started.
Step 5
इस step पर अपने Gmail Account को द्वारा अपना Username और Password से login करना है। अगले पड़ाव पर अपना Mobile नंबर दाखिल कर, Text Message या Phone Call, दोनों में से किसी एक का चयन के बाद, Next पर click करते हुए आगे बढ़ जाना है। ऐसा करने पर अंकित किये गये मोबाइल नंबर पर Verification Code आ जायेगा।
In this step, the system will ask to re-login to Gmail Account with Username and Password. Click on Next to login. In doing so, the system will ask to enter own mobile number and the desired option to choose Text Message or Phone Call to receive Verification Code on Mobile number. Click on Next to proceed further
Step 6
इस पड़ाव पर सही Verification Code को दाखिल कर next पर click करते हुए आगे बढ़ जाना है। तद-पशचात अगले पटल पर TURNON पर click करने का option आएगा। ऐसा करते ही Google Gmail Account पर 2-Step Verification सक्रीय हो जायेगा और सुरक्षा घेरा में मजबूती आ जाएगी।
After correct verification code gets entered, the system will ask to click on TURN ON. In doing so, the 2-Step Verification of Google Gmail Account get enabled, thus increases the security layer of the account.
सबसे आखिर में आपके google Gmail अकाउंट पर 2-Step Verification सफलतापूर्वक सक्रीय हो जाने पर आपके mail पर इसकी जानकारी confirmation के तौर पर दे दी जाएगी।
Finally, a confirmation message related to successful enablement of 2-Step Verification will be sent to email Id.
